Small 3-door Crossover by MINI

Company MINI declassified the new conceptual car — three-door compact crossover Paceman. This car will be presented to general public in the middle of January of next year on Detroit Motor Show. About it it's told in the official press release.

2012 MINI Paceman from a Countryman platform

The novelty is constructed on a Countryman, however the prototype overall length on 13 mm is more (4110 mm), than at MINI Countryman, and the height — on 20 mm is less (1541 mm). Besides, at Paceman similar registration of a front part of a body, including a windshield, headlights, radiator and bumper.

The crossover prototype is equipped by the 211-strong four-cylinder gasoline engine in volume of 1,6 litres which is established on tuning versions MINI by John Cooper Works studio, and system of all wheel drive All4.

According to representatives of the British manufacturer, the decision on possibility of serial release of a three-door crossover MINI for the present is not accepted. However if the general management gives to the project a "green light" on the conveyor the similar car appears in two years and, as experts assume, becomes the most expensive MINI model.

Saab 9-2 vs MINI Cooper

Victor Muller, the chief executive of Dutch company Spyker, whose recent acquisition became brand Saab, has declared, that the Swedish motor-car manufacturer prepares the new compact car under name 9-2.

During conversation with journalists Victor Muller even has shown some sketches of the future car in which shape lines classical Saab 92 are traced, 93 and 96. According to director Spyker, the compact car for real admirers of production Saab.

Also Muller has noticed, that creation of competitor Volkswagen New Beetle, MINI Cooper and Fiat 500 is a priority problem of the Swedish company, but even approximate terms of an exit of a novelty on the market head Spyker to name has refused, as on realisation of the given project yet there are no financial assets.

New Saab 9-3 with Epsilon I

Victor Muller has confirmed the information that in 2012 in sale the new generation of model Saab 9-3 which will be constructed on the modernised version of platform Epsilon I will arrive. According to WCF, Saab 9-3 will receive a wide ruler of power units in which there will be a place of turbo-engines in volume from 1,6 to 2,8 litres.

Prototype new VW Beetle will show in November

In November of current year on a motor show in Los Angeles company Volkswagen plans to present the conceptual version of car Beetle.

The Impact of the Utility Truck on Commercial Vehicles

Voila – the utility truck solves both of these needs.

Alternatively, a plumber typically has to carry all kinds of equipment, whether it is wrenches, elbow joints, piping, a plumbing ‘snake’, and other tools. In Facebook have shown prototype Citroen

Company Citroen has published on the page in social network Facebook a photo of conceptual three-door crossover DS High Rider which is a harbinger of the similar serial car under name DS4. The premiere of a prototype will take place in the beginning of March on a motor show in Geneva.

The detailed information on a novelty still is not disclosed. On preliminary data, compact crossover Citroen DS4 will be constructed on a platform of hatchback С4 of following generation which debuts in the autumn of current year, possibly, on a motor show in Paris. The batch production of such car is planned to adjust by 2011.

Car DS3 constructed on units of hatchback С3 became the first model from "bonus" series DS. The car debut has taken place in September of last year at an exhibition in Frankfurt. Sports crossover DS5 becomes one more model from this scale. Such car will be constructed on the basis of Citroen С5 and begins to be equipped with a hybrid power-plant. Hyundai will show in Geneva a prototype of a new sedan

South Korean company Hyundai has published the first image-tizer of the conceptual car i-flow which world premiere will take place on a motor show in Geneva, opening in the beginning of March of this year. As they say in a communique, Hyundai i-flow will give representation how the future serial sedan of a D-class will look.

Audi prepares a compact sport coupe

On a motor show in Detroit company Audi has presented experimental compact coupe on electrodraught — Audi E-tron Detroit Showcar. The novelty is the continuer of concept Audi E-Tron constructed on the basis of Audi R8 and presented on motor show in Frankfurt in the autumn of 2009.

However, the new prototype is more compact than first "E-tron" and it is easier: on the sizes new coupe it is comparable to golf class hatchbacks, and it is equipped only by two electromotors.

Engines rotate only back wheels: their total power makes 201HP that allows to disperse 1350-kgs car (the first E-Tron weighed 1600 kgs) to 100 km/h for 5,9 sec.

The heaviest detail of the new concept car is a block li-ionic of batteries which 399 kgs weigh. Storage batteries are placed practically on the car centre that has allowed developers to keep optimum balance — 40:60 in favour of a back axis. A stock of a course at this car — 155 miles (250 km).

As experts consider, Audi E-tron Detroit Showcar is the predecessor serial coupe which could make competition BMW 1-Series with the same type of a body. VW has shown a prototype of a city midget car

On a motor show in Los Angeles concern Volkswagen has presented a new prototype of city midget car Up! Lite, equipped hybrid a diesel engine-electric a power-plant. This car considerably differs from previous conceptual Up!, which VW shows on each large motor show, since Geneva of 2008.

New Up! Lite is much larger than predecessors with the same name — the length makes 3,84 metres against 3,14 metres at the previous models.

2011 Lotus Esprit Sports Car will be a wholly different Beast powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine

The guys over at AutoCar have caught the upcoming Lotus Esprit testing in cold-snowy weather of Sweden. After running some DVLA records and matching the license plate, AutoCar has learned that the prototype is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine. Lotus sources have previously said that BMW may be the supplier for Lotus’ 2011 Esprit.It’s possible that the new Lotus Esprit will carry the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the new BMW X6, but will most likely be tuned to develop 500 horsepower.Currently the 4.4 liter twin-turbo from V8 produces 400 horsepower. The engine is also expected to be used in other BMW models including the X5 and the 7-Series. Lotus engineers will most probably re-work the engine management to reach numbers closer the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 Turbo.

According to Lotus insiders, the next-gen Elise will arrive sometime in early 2011 followed by an all-new V8-powered Esprit in 2012...............................2011 Lotus Esprit Sports Car

The 2011 Elise will likely be built upon an evolved version of the current model’s extruded-aluminium underpinnings and continue the same formula that’s made the pint-sized sportscar a track day fave, but the Esprit will be a wholly different beast.
While the new Elise is all but locked in, the Esprit project is very much dependent on whether Lotus can sell enough Evoras to fund it. The timeline for the Esprit is also at the mercy of the global economic situation, with Lotus likely to delay the Esprit and forge ahead with a far less costly drop-top Evora if the recession persists much longer.
If it launches on time, the Esprit could be Lotus’ best hope of gaining a much larger share of the sports car market.

The engine is currently being used in the Lexus LF-A, a car that has not yet been launched itself. Being connected with the Japanese carmaker Toyota, Lotus has access to its entire range of parts and components, as well as powerplants from the Lexus line. The Lamborghini "Concept S" design study premiered at this year's Geneva Motorshow as an extreme and spectacular expression of the Lamborghini brand.

The House of the Raging Bull has shown the first driveable prototype of the Lamborghini "Concept S" at the Monterey Concorso Italiano and at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in the USA.It was created at the Centro Stile Lamborghini in Sant'Agata Bolognese by Luc Donckerwolke, who drew inspiration from the classic single-seater racing cars of the past.The astonishing amount of public interest at the Geneva Motor Show prompted the decision to build a driveable prototype in order to further gauge potential customer demand.
The driveable "Concept S" prototype has only changed slightly compared to the original design study. For example, the so-called "saute-vent" windscreens were re-designed for homologation reasons. The look of the car results even more extreme than the original.

"The "Concept S" represents everything that Lamborghini stands for. It is extreme, uncompromising and Italian," commented Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. The aerodynamics of the "Concept S" have been optimised thanks to front and rear spoilers and a large rear diffuser. An electronically controlled, retractable central rear view mirror allows the driver to see what is happening behind the car - when required!

Classic single-seaters did not have a traditional windscreen, but utilised the „saute-vent" in order to direct air over the head of the driver. In the "Concept S", these devices divide the cabin into two distinct compartments, giving the car an aggressive and futuristic look.

They also create a space between them that acts as an additional air inlet for the engine, which is positioned behind the seats.
