The Upcoming Cars in 2011 and 2012 Murcielago Engine

The Upcoming Cars in 2011 and 2012 Lamborghini Murcielago is expected to have a powerful 7.0 liter, V12 engine providing unmatched power and performance. Power output is expected to be somewhere between 700 and 720 horsepower. Air quality standards that have been tightened in America and Europe will probably result in the engine being direct injection. It will most likely have either a 7-speed manual transmission, or a 7-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. Stability control is expected to be included in this new model, and the car is expected to be all-wheel-drive. It will probably be able to zoom from 0 to 62 mph in around 3 seconds, and it will probably take around 6 seconds to zip from 0 to 100 mph. Its top speed is expected to be around 225 mph.

OK, this one really blindsided me. When Lamborghini first started sending

out teaser photos of the Estoque I was thinking it might be the modern-day interpretation of the front-engine Espada coupe, but there it was in the flesh at the 2008 Salon d’Automobiles in Paris a few weeks and a half-dozen teaser shots later, quite possibly the most desirable four-door coupe ever.

The concept sports a V8, but Lamborghini is incredibly open-minded about possible powertrains. The Gallardo’s V10 will be offered but engineering boss Maurizio Reggiani told CAR that a powerful turbodiesel or possibly a hybrid petrol electric drivetrain would probably also be offered.

And it looks suitably in your face. How big is the Estoque?

B-I-G. It’s 5m long and the wheelbase is over 3m. Lamborghini promises that the rear passenger space will be genuinely comfortable for execs who prefer to be chauffeured than driven.

Lamborghini Murciélago tweaked into JB Car Design’s LP 640 ‘Bat’

The whole ‘Batmobile’ comparison gets thrown around an awful lot on websites like this one. And this car’s not even black, so we’ll wave off of that this time. But consider the following: in the most recent Batman movie, Bruce Wayne drove a Lamborghini Murciélago. Into a truck, unfortunately. His alter-ego’s drive, meanwhile, was on the other side of the more extreme Reventón. Now along comes JB Car Design with a kit to bridge the gap. And they call it the Bat, suitably enough.

The German tuner’s retrofitted Murci LP 640 can be had with 710 or 750 horsepower (a not-inconsequential improvement on the stock 640) through the installation of new cats and exhaust. But in this case, the defining factor is the car’s styling. A new front bumper and splitter, side skirts, and rear bumper with diffuser give the LP640 a more Reventón-style look, with a two-piece carbon fiber rear wing, LED lights and 20-inch modular alloys rounding out the package.

Meanwhile, the interior been re-trimmed in different leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber, along with a new steering wheel and sound system. Each of these components for engine, body and cabin can be purchased separately or as a comprehensive package, but JB says it will only make 75 examples of the body kit. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept lights up the stage

Surely, one of the most hotly anticipated releases at the 2010 Paris Motor Show would be the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept. After all, no automaker has teased the masses these last few weeks more thanLamborghini, and perhaps no single vehicle manufacturer is as beloved by the teenage boys lurking inside each one of us.

That said, any new Lambo is going to have big shoes to fill, with such classics as the Miura, Countach, Diablo and Murcielago, Gallardo and Reventon each holding its well-earned place in the annals of supercardom. Will the Sesto Elemento turn out to be yet another masterpiece from Italy? Too early to say, but we can still drool a bit over the live shots in our high-res image gallery below. Enjoy!

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept may be the tease of Paris

Is this the concept car that Lamborghini has been teasing us in such an achingly slow manner leading up to this week’s Paris Motor Show? All signs point to yes, but it’s still too early to know for sure. In any case, the Sesto Elemento – if it is indeed the next Lambo to be hung on the walls of teenage boys from Constantinople to Timbuktu – will push forward with the jet-fighter-ish angular styling theme set in motion by the limited production Reventon from the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show… for better or for worse.

As expected, the Sesto Elemento (which translated to English means Sixth Element – we’d expect some sort of Bullish name if it hits production) is crafted almost exclusively from carbon fiber. That means it’s light… as in just 2,200 pounds (999 kilograms) light. That’s seriously low for a V10-powered supercar, and it means an estimated 0 to 62 (100 kilometers per hour) run of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217.5 miles per hour (350 kph).

With a weight that low, we wouldn’t expect any kind of hybrid powertrain, but you never know. It’s not really possible to get a good feel for the appearance of the Sesto Elemento based on this grainy photo, but we’re certainly intrigued. Paris Preview: Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition

Typically, when an automaker and a watchmaker team up, it’s to spec out a special-edition watch. ButLamborghini and Blancpain have already done that. The two marques are also behind the Super Trofeo racing series, which Lamborghini claims is the fastest spec racing series on today’s circuits. The season just wrapped up at Vallelunga, where the two companies took the wraps off the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition.

The special-edition Lambo is distinguished from the standard model with such unique touches as a vented engine cover and a big rear wing, along with carbon fiber parts, Skorplus wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes. A matte black finish with yellow accents further set its apart inside and out. The most interesting spec however, is the Blancpain Edition’s weight; at 2954 pounds, Sant’Agata lauds it as the lightest vehicle in Lamborghini’s roadgoing range. Couple that with the 5.2-liter V10 boosted to 570 horsepower (like the spec racers) and Lambo claims a 3.4-second sprint to 62 mph from a standstill, topping out a hair under the double-century mark.

Lamborghini licenses insane limited-edition Reventón R/C car

Like the vast majority of humanity, we were never able to lay our hands on one of the 20 Lamborghini Reventón models the company built for the fabulously wealthy. We had neither the $1.27 million it took to call the car your very own nor the connections to be one of the few to even have the chance to purchase said Raging Bull. That’s just fine, though, because Lamborghini has partnered up with De Agostini to build a 1:10 scale R/C replica of the car for the masses. Well, maybe not the masses per-se – the company is only building 65 examples, so this ain’t your garden-variety Nikko or Tamiya.

Each one of the cars is crafted with impressive detail and features a 3cc gasoline engine mated to a two-speed transmission, a fully-independent suspension with hydraulic shocks and four-wheel disc brakes – all on an R/C car. Insane? Sure, but it’s our kind of crazy. Unfortunately, with so few of the cars being produced, we’re guessing they won’t be cheap enough for anyone we know to afford. History repeats itself. Crazy Rumor of the Day: Lamborghini Estoque to be built in China

Hold on to your lugnuts, kids, because here’s a rumor that’s so far out it practically qualifies as science fiction. Taken straight from Gasgoo.com, which has provided plenty of worthy news in the past, is this nugget: Lamborghini “will import its super luxury four-door sedan, Lamborghini Estoque to China for local production in 2012 with a price tag of around 4 million yuan ($589,000).”

To be fair, it appears as though Gasgoo is just reporting on what’s being reported in other Chinese media. However, in case you haven’t been keeping up with the Estoque’s flirtations with production reality, first Lamborghini planned to make it after it was introduced two years ago, then the economic implosion supposedly killed it in early 2009, but Lamborghini quickly said that wasn’t true, then this month company CEO Stephan Winkelmann hinted about how a third model would help the brand.

To us, none of that means the 2008 Paris Motor Show traffic-stopper is going to be built at all. Somehow, though, the Chinese media have heard that not only is it going to be built, but it will be built in China as soon as 2012. On top of that, even though it hasn’t been developed, it’s already been priced, and at that price you could buy almost three Aston Martin Rapide sedans. Or, more accurately, three Rapides and an infinite number of leprechauns, gorgons, drop bears and the latest creature of fable, a Chinese-built Estoque.

Lockheed Martin designer suggests new direction for next Lamborghini

Has Lamborghini’s current styling direction run its course? Those enamored by the Raging Bulls’ sharp creases and intersecting lines would surely protest, but sooner or later, like any other automaker, Sant’Agata will need to look for a new direction. And given that the company’s current design language – first seen on theReventon supercar and inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet – where better to turn for the next step than back to the designers at Lockheed Martin, the aerospace concern that lead its development?

In penning the Navarra concept depicted here, Adam Denning – an American designer with Lockheed Martin who earned his masters in automotive design at Milan’s Scuola Politecnica di Design – took into account Lamborghini’s succession of V12 supercars from the Miura to the Murcielago, taking the company’s current sharp-edged language one step further by blending it with organic shapes inspired by classical Renaissance sculpture. The Navarro’s packaging is a touch shorter than the Murcielago’s but rides on a slightly longer wheelbase, envisioned to be built largely out of carbon fiber.

With the Murcielago’s successor already speeding around the corner, Lamborghini has likely already signed off on its design. But just the same, is this the direction the tentatively-dubbed “Jota” should be taking? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

The system’s products Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago have advanced over the coupe version (2-door sports) and Roadster (convertible ceiling).

Released in 2001, equipped with V12 Murcielago, capacity 6.2 liters, 571 horsepower capacity, maximum speed 330 km / h. Time accelerated to 100 km / h is 3.8 seconds. Price a new Murcielago in the U.S. over $ 300,000.

According to the 2008 version, Murcielago consumption to 29 liters of gasoline per 100 km in the city and 18 liters on the highway.

If your first though upon seeing this comic-esque baby Lamborghini Murcileago Gallardo was that it was somehow related to the famous Japanese cartoon series “Speed Racer”, then you’re pretty much right and you should give yourself a pat on the back. See, the quad-bike-based Lamborghini replica was crafted in honor of “Mach Girl”, a TV series spin-off based on the original Speed Racer anime that was released in Japan a couple of years ago. Interested? Lamborghini Reventon No3 Looking for its Third Owner

If you ever had any doubts that, rare exotic supercars like the Lamborghini Murcielago Reventon spend most -if not all- of their life parked in showrooms or private garages, then take a look at this example that has been listed for sale on eBay with a ‘Buy it Now Price’ of US$1,495 million.

This Reventon is said to be car number 3 of the 20 that Sant’ Agata churned out, and just one of ten that came to the U.S.

The 650HP Italian rocket that’s capable of speeds in excess of 340km/h or 211mph has clocked a mere 78 miles on the odo since it arrived in the States in 2008 and only 5 miles since it changed hands for the second time in September of last year!

True, the Reventon is a one-of-a-kind supercar / collectible and its owners should be extremely cautious when it comes to using the vehicle, but being a car guy and all, I can’t help but think that’s it’s a real shame that most of these cars will never be driven as they were meant…

Edo Competition's Spicier Lamborghini Gallardo LP600-4

Supercar tuner, Edo Competition, has revealed its latest project, the Lamborghini LP600-4 with minor cosmetic and mechanical tweaks over the standard model. The 5.2-liter V10 engine’s output has been cranked up from 560 to 600 horsepower, thanks to an ECU tune and a new high-flow stainless-steel exhaust system, which not only adds 15HP but also weighs 12kg or 26 pounds less than the original piece.

The tuner says that 0 to 100km/h (62mph) acceleration takes 3.5 seconds, with top speed climbing to 340km/h or 211mph.

The Gallardo LP600-4 also benefits from a newly developed sport suspension system, which is adjustable in compression and rebound damping, and new 19-inch three-piece racing wheels shod in Dunlop Sport Maxx rubber size 235/35 ZR 19 up front and 305/30 ZR 19 at the back.

The tuner’s package is rounded off by a new front spoiler lip while customers may also individualize the Lamborghini Gallardo’s interior with various options and custom leathers and trims.

Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 Design Concept for a Lexus LFA Style Supercar

The Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 is a conceptual study penned by independent designer Amadou Ndiaye. Envisioned as a modern interpretation of the 1960′s Lamborghini Espada, the Toro LA690-4 is a front-engined Raging Bull supercar created to compete against other exotics of the same sort like the Aston Martin One 77 and the Lexus LFA.

The designer states that the car’s LA 690-4 designation stands for “Longitudinale anteriore” which translates to “Front Longitudinal” in English, while “690″ refers to the V12 engine’s fictional output and ’4′ to the car’s all-wheel drive system.

Aside from the front-mid mounted V12 engine coupled to a 7 speed double clutch transmission, Ndiaye says that the chassis, body panels and other parts of the car should be made from carbon fiber and magnesium to save weight.

To our eye, while the execution looks professional, the design itself is less aspiring and unique as the first thought that came to mind is a Lamborghini-ized LFA speckled with repackaged styling cues from the Italian firm’s current production and concept models.

Canadian designer Amadou Ndiaye is at it again with his Lamborghini conceptual proposals. This time, Amadou has envisioned a successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo that he has named the Furia. Munich University Students Dream Up Future Lamborghini Models

In cooperation with the Munich University of Applied Sciences, Lamborghini sponsored the ‘Raw Material’ project tasking students from the German institution to create a series of design concepts for a future ‘Raging Bull’ supercar. The five students that answered to the call displayed their conceptual proposals at the Munich University’s annual college degree show.

Lamborghini Ankonian by Slavche Tanevski

The mid-engined Ankonian is a proposal for a more compact sized Lamborghini supercar employing both ‘soft’ and angular surfaces in the design. Needless to say, it could also form the basis for a future Batmobile.

Lamborghini Supercars Take the Spotlight at 2010 Pirelli Calendar Presentation

First of all, the man pictured above – songwriter, singer and twice Brit Award winner James Blunt, is not featured in the new 2010 Pirelli Calendar – sigh of relief… He’s just one of the many celebrities that were chauffeured in Lamborghinis to Old Billingsgate, a 19th century building on the banks of the Thames in London, for the world premiere / presentation of the 37th edition of the famed Pirelli Calendar.

All in all, three Lamborghini supercars – a Murcielago LP 670-4 SV, a Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder and the latest limited edition, rear-wheel drive Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, were used at the event.

For the occasion, the Raging Bull supercars sported hidden LED lights positioned under the wheel arches to illuminate the Pirelli tires in homage to the Milan-based tire company.

Unfortunately, Pirelli has not yet issued any photos for press use from its new calendar, but we can tell you that the 37th edition features a total of eleven models including, Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Miranda Kerr of Australia, Eniko Mihalik from Hungary, Marloes Horst of the Netherlands, Lily Cole, Daisy Lowe, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from the UK, Georgina Stojilijkovic of Serbia and two Brazilian natives, Gracie Carvalho and Ana Beatriz Barros.

Real or Fake? Gran Turismo Ad Shows 1969 Corvette Stingray and 1988 Lamborghini Countach Scraping Sides

After watching this Japanese Gran Turismo PSP commercial of a ’69 Corvette Stingray and a ’88 Lamborghini Countach clashing sides on the race track more than a dozen times, we still can’t tell if it’s a real-life or a computer simulated scene. But then again, that’s exactly what makes this commercial so successful in our opinion; for one, you’ll want to watch it again and again but most importantly, it gets the message across that the video game blurs the lines of reality and fantasy.
