Car Review >> Maserati Granturismo S Best Car

Women and men in sharp suits, because it shows the guy knows how to dress, and he is more inclined to take them to nice restaurants than sloppy food joints.
The Maserati Gran Turismo is a bit like a suit. The exquisite cut and tailored in a way that makes the wearer feel as secure as the latest Double O Seven makes in his Tom Ford.
The Gran Turismo S is basically the same stuff, just better. It not only makes the wearer look good, but also transforms him into an entirely new man, a sportsman himself.
The key to this increased flexibility is the engine. Displace 4.7 liters (versus 4.2 in the GT), GT S has much more grunt (40bhp and 30nm torque). Couple with the latest DueSelect gearbox, which is similar to Maserati's Ferrari F1 Superfast transmission, shifts are smooth and very, very quick with the changes taking only 100 milliseconds.
The front brake dics has been expanded and made use of a special "dual-cast" technology clamped by powerful six pot callipers. The suspension was also tuned to be a little more sporty than the 4.2 GT's.
Sum of all hardware is an entirely more intent machine comes to life at the touch of a button labeled Sport.

When activated, the transmission goes into quick shift mode and exhaust system releases. The shift mode and exhaust system releases. The smart smoking is now a smug race suit. The combination of beeps barreled motor sound with the anger firing on all gear is bound to have an effect on the driver.
Suddenly the drive home will be a lot more exciting. One is Daniel Craig running away from a pursuing Alfa Romeo in the tunnel, except unlike Aston Martin in the opening scene of the latest Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, the Maserati has its doors intact.
Also intact is the GT S's ambitions as a grand tourer. Measuring nearly 4.9m (longer than a BMW 5 series) with a corresponding long wheelbase, its ride quiet and serene.

Although twisty roads is not a problem, but prefer long sweeping corners, where power and size afford it plenty of pace and poise.
When Sport is deactivated, the engine calms down considerably (the deep V8 Rumble are still satisfyingly audible) and shifting morph from being a fast and angry that something that is much smoother, if not entirely smooth as in a conventional automatic transmission.

Porsche Carrera Gembella Mirage GT

For some collectors, supercars like the Porsche Carrera GT just are not exclusive enough; after all there are 1269 other examples to steal their thunder. To cater for these enthusiasts' needs Porsche tuner Gemballa developed the Mirage GT. The German company already announced their intent to take a stab at the Carrera GT shortly after the first examples were delivered, but apparently nobody wanted to be the first to hand over their car. So for many, many months the Gemballa Mirage GT existed as an artist impression only, but more recently the much anticipated customized Carrera GTs finally appeared.

Compared to most other Gemballa modified Porsches, the Mirage GT remains remarkably close to the original Porsche mechanics, which were obviously hard to improve. The biggest change to the drivetrain is the addition of two turbochargers together with a custom stainless steel exhaust system to the V10 engine. These offer only a modest performance increase of 60 bhp and 20 Nm. Customers can no doubt increase the boost to get even more power out of the engine, but who really needs more than 700 bhp in a car as light as the Carrera GT. The modifications have cut the 0 - 60 time by a whopping 0.1 seconds to 3.8 seconds.

A quick glance is sufficient to distinguish the Mirage GT from the understated Carrera GT. The bumper and the nose of the Mirage GT feature a plethora of new air scoops, which can impossibly be beneficial to the car's performance. At the rear the second exhaust pipe on each side is the biggest departure from the original design. A massive rear wing is fitted complete with an integrated air brake that pops up under heavy braking. The body kit is literally topped off by a large air-scoop on the roof, which feeds air directly to the engine. As the large ducts block the view through the rear window, a small camera is fitted behind the cockpit.
Retailing for € 229,800 (not including the donor Porsche), the Mirage GT package is certainly not for the financially impaired. Then again they would be in the market for a Carrera GT either. Of course each of the 25 Mirage GTs expected to be built can be tailored to the customers needs to ensure absolute exclusivity. We have already spotted an example with very tasteful gold trim. The featured example is number 012 with a matte grey finish and yellow accents looked surprisingly well.

Kia VG

Here’s a first look at the rendered images of the upcoming near-luxury ride from Kia. Tentatively named VG, the car is sort of an replacement to the unpopular Amanti. From what the images offer, the VG looks pretty good and posh and will reportedly pack in a 2.4 liter direct injection four cylinder and a 3.8 liter V6. We hope our expectations about Kia’s new baby will be met when it is unveiled in the next Detroit Auto Show. We’ll hold our breath ’til then.
Pontiac Solstice Coupe GXP: Hyped Classic Sports Car

Like the roadster, the 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe GXP uses a 2.4-liter Ecotec in-line four-cylinder engine, good for 173 horsepower. It is designed to perform in all weather and terrain putting up an adjustable roof panel which opens up to the roof and roadway to the driver and passenger. The Pontiac Solstice Coupe GXP is a classic-inspired luxury car and could be one of the world’s best collector’s items.

From the longest to the coolest, they are all pictured below with most interior and exterior shots. I wonder what the car insurance quote would cost for a limosine!
